Scalderhurst Ltd was formed by John and Valerie Fowler on 1st May 1973 in offices at Godstone, Surrey.

The company grew at such a pace that in 1987 it moved into its current premises at Ford Paper Mill, in the picturesque village of Little Chart in Kent. It is fiercely proud of the fact that it remains a third generation family owned and managed business 

Scalderhurst is the primary company of three, which are owned and run by the Fowler family from the Ford Mill site. Along with Scalderhurst Ltd, the integrated group includes Amberset Ltd, and Ford Mill Fisheries.

Depending on the stock received, in either reels or sheets, the paper is converted and sold with our own brand names. 

Many of Scalderhurst's brands such as Cavalry, Airborne and Fusilier have become household names within the merchant industry over the last 40 years.

As well as supplying the U.K., Ireland and Northern Europe with the quick delivery of bespoke sizes from cutter reels the company also trades large quantities of stocks for export worldwide. Scalderhurst Ltd has become one of the largest independent family owned merchants & converter in Europe.
